Post any problems, comments, suggestions regarding the website

Hello - I was talking to Maz (visiting CUMC) the other day..
It's a pity how the old BUMS have been outcast the last 2 years!
We feel unloved! :(

Any chance we can revive the 'big happy family' status with us oldies being invited/told about trips, etc? - Lots of us are experienced leaders (i'm not), so can only be beneficial to the club, right?

Maybe a 'old bums' section would be nice. :D

You're right it's a shame the way it went.
This year I'll be using the website/forum to keep in touch with everyone. Everytime something new is coming up in the club I'll make sure it's on the website - under Upcoming Events. The same information will also be sent out to those on the mailing list. To get yourself on that just sign up for the forum as you have done.

There are a couple of trips planned for October/November, I'll let you know the exact details when its confirmed.

ANYONE - if you have 'old' bums email addresses - pass them on, I dont mind doing the admin on the Old BUMS side of things!

On a more technical note - are AVATARS enabled? I dont seem to be able to upload one. Or am I just having a blonde-day?

Sorry about that, I've set them up now. You can choose from one of the defaults or upload your own (max. 120x120pixel 10KB).

If you have any email addresses of old members send them over and I'll make sure they're on the mailing list.

I've sent out a blanket mail - had coupla replies - what happened to the 'old bums mailing list'? I know Kerry used to look after it -but where is it now?

Will pass on any addresses that I gather tho. :)

I've got the mailing list from last year - with about 30 odd email addresses. If you got the email about the new website you're on it.
I'll have to ask Sid if he's got any others, need to get them all in same database!

yup can second the ostricised feeling, i still keep my nose in (well more than a nose) on the climbing scene and remember the days when ex bums were very much part of the group. It may be a little hard to get us on trips but we sure as hell know still how to party/climb,,, so don't forget us,, anyway it normally means an extra car if necesarry! also it means a hunt when you search for the oldest t-shirt on a trip,,,

I am currently starting to get replies from ppl (like gingerdave :cool: ).. and ppl r signing up - but I never did receive any mail bout the new website being up - I'm just stubborn and kept trying til it worked!:shy:

Also - I am remembering that Old Bums are grumpy old f***s (well the really really old ones) - and dont like being hassled bout un-related stuff.
So a separate list (which only got the graduates/honoury bums) on it - purely for trips and imp. news - would probably be a safe bet!
